We got bids from three contractors and Frank's was the highest. But unlike the other two contractors, Frank followed up on his bid and answered questions about his proposal in detail. We inspected work he was doing in Rancho San Miguel in Walnut Creek, and talked to two Eichler owners who had used him. Both of them were very satisfied with his work and highly recommended him.Frank is very easy to deal with. He is very straight-forward and doesn't hedge when you ask his opinion. He listens to your concerns and does his best to address them without quibbling. His workers are very accommodating, work steadily, and clean up after themselves at the end of each day.Frank advertises in CA-Modern as an Eichler contractor. He has worked on many Eichlers in the East Bay as well as elsewhere in the Bay area. He is very familiar with special nature of Eichlers and their specific problems and we felt that he gave us good advice on the job that we contracted. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again and recommend him to other Greenridge owners. Our address is 5536 Greenridge if anyone is interested in inspecting the work he did for us.

I read your recommendation from 2010 for Frank Larson and wondered if you still think he's the best person to call for general Eichler work like siding replacement.
We still like Frank and probably will use him again on a bathroom remodel. As I said previously, he isn't cheap but he will stick to his bid. What I like best about him is his commitment to his listing as an Eichler contractor. He told us that he turned down a job where an Eichler owner asked for work that was clearly inconsistent with the modernist aesthetic.
He did our siding and we were happy with his work. For painting we would now use Abdul Farid (I recommended him on a recent inquiry about house painters on the Greenridge FB page) but I would always get a bid from Frank on anything else. I do trust him.
